Mrs. Twigg offers four kinds of parties. Humane/Young Activist, Outdoor Exploration, Fairy/Gnome party and a personalized party. Details below:
1. Humane Parties or Young Activist Party
The space:
You provide the space. It can be at your home, a community centre, a restaurant that has a private room.
What I do:
I lead fun and engaging activities on a humane topic. The parties are age-appropriate, meaningful and resonate with the children. We will do drawing, brainstorming, role-playing and create a do-able plan for action. I offer the following topics:
Animal Protection
Human Rights
Environmental Issues
Culture Issues
Each topic gets represented a little bit because these issues are interconnected, but I focus on just one. Each party is age-appropriate — I wouldn’t bring up animal testing for elementary students, but would do a role-play dealing with dog adoption activity.
Price:
$120 for one hour, (includes a $25 donation to charity of birthday child’s choice)
$200 for two hours (includes $40 donation to charity of birthday child’s choice)

These topics seem a little heavy…are you sure the kids will like it?
These topics are heavy. They are also issues that children hear about and want to do something about. Humane education programs are some of the most popular programs because they touch children’s hearts, respect children’s ideas and encourage children to be solutionaries. It feels good to be of use. It feels good to do good.
2. Outdoor Exploration Party
The Space:
You find a public green space that you like. Maybe it’s the park down the street from you, or a river path. Doesn’t matter — wherever you like. This party works best for up to 10 children. Ages 4 – 10
My Job:
I come for an hour and lead the kids in nature exploration activities. These activities are age-appropriate, super fun and encourage children to bond with nature.
Public outdoor space, preferably with trees or tree stumps.
My Job:
I come for two hours, and lead the children through nature activities that get us aware of the environment.
We search for evidence of fairy/gnome houses in nature.
We go on to make food for the fairies/gnomes (berries, peanut-free butter, seeds, etc). and help add to their fairy/gnome houses using items found in nature.
We create stories about each fairy house and create a guide & map for the birthday child to take home.
The activity ends with some unguided, but supervised free-play (as is necessary and age-appropriate).
This is my favorite party to run and kids remember it. Parents will contact me to let me know their child is still wanting to return to the fairy houses to check in — weeks or months after this activity. Parents in the past have said they felt it this party was close to nature therapy and enjoyable for young and young-at-heart.
Party size and ages: Ideal party size is 6-10 children, ages 5+
Most of the parties are personalized, it’s the nature of creative parties.
You tell me what your child is into, and I give you a party plan for $49. It will be customized to a theme of your (or your child’s) choosing and feature detailed step-by-step activities. It will be designed to work with your estimated group size, location and budget (including free). The party plan will be loaded with games, activities, invitation ideas, loot bag ideas. The party will be age appropriate and fit your values.
If you want me to facilitate it – $120 for first hour, $80/hour for any hour after.
